What hospitality websites keep getting wrong

There is a pattern to hospitality websites that has held for a decade. A slow autoplay video, a welcome message from the team, a room grid, a contact form.

Guests do not browse that way. They arrive from a search or a saved link, they want to know what the room looks like, what it costs on their dates, and whether the beach is really a five minute walk.

Design for that and the site gets quieter, faster and considerably more persuasive.
